I was 12. The theme song still plays in my head all these years later. I'm glad to have the chance to see it again for $10 and I'll show it to my grown kids some day. Betting I'll like it just as much now as I did then…

A real shame how people have made the word ' awesome' a word used in everyday conversations. The word awesome means awe inspiring. Not something stupid like 'your shoes are killer awesome'. Shame. But this movie is TRULY awesome. A story of one of God's special creatures!!! I loved it!

Another colonial here - I think every kid I knew was still talking about this movies 5 years afterwards. We don't seem to be able to make films like this anymore - tragic. I rely on it to soothe me, calm me down, and now I have it with me on all my gadgets all the time. If we could only go back to that time and place where the world was simpler and the sun never set on the Empire.

As a kid, growing up in Kenya and England, I used to love watching this movie...so much so, I became a vet and actually went to Kenya for 9 months on a conservation sabatical. I was fortunate to see linos up close and even had the opportunity to be there as doctors tranquilized them for radia collars. Every time I watch this movie, I always remember how my entire family would watch it, and then afterwards, I would always...always cry at the end. A truely inspirational movie. Now I'm 40 and I just watched in again with my 6 yr old. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
