Description

Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) returns from his new position to witness his daughter's birth — only to face pressure from a family and town that feel he's abandoned them. Tami (Connie Britton) is shocked to discover Julie (Aimee Teegarden) has broken up with Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford) and is disheartened by the distance between herself and her teenage daughter. Tyra (Adrianne Palicki) and Landry (Jesse Plemons) develop a secret bond after a deadly confrontation with her attacker. Jason (Scott Porter) risks his life after he learns of an experimental surgery that could help him walk. Tensions between Smash (Gaius Charles) and Saracen explode as the team falls apart under the rigid, cold leadership of Coach MacGregor. Lyla (Minka Kelly) discovers faith and tries to convert Riggins (Taylor Kitsch), whose feelings for her only get in the way. Experience the true-to-life struggles and triumphs of a town that make you feel a part of it.

I really like this show and have watched it till the end... I just hate the way season 2 ends..where is states? It shows them going to the play offs and then nothing about States! Com'on now...if your going to have a show on football show the whole season. Like they did in the first season of this show...

In its second season, Friday Night Lightss continues to truthfully tell the tale of life in Dillon, Texas. The characters become rich and full of life. The relationship of Coach Taylor and his wife and daughters are fully explored and tested, as are relationships of all the young people of Dillon and their families. Season 2 has caught some flack for "not being as strong as Season 1" (and Season 3). It is true that some of the episode storylines are a little lighter, even comedic when compared to the explosive Season 1. But these threads are quickly resolved and the major theme of conflict continues its truthful portrayal. I think Season 2 was one of freedom of exploration which allowed the show to find itself ... and it has. It was a necessary testing of the limits in this newer form of story telling, and I appreciated the experimentation even when it wasn't the most successful strand of the storyline. I also appreciated the comedic aspects of Coach and Tami trying to "get back in the saddle" after the birth of their 2nd child in "Let's Get It On", as well as the appearance of one of Tami's old flames, causing Coach Taylor to meet up with the green eyed monster in "May the Best Man Win." These actors can play the heaviest drama, as well as the lightest comedy ... and everything in between. Like notes in a symphony, the range of Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton is PHENOMENAL. Other than that, there is plenty of angst and growth of all characters. Again, Emmy worthy performances were given by both Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton. This great, great show continues.

Friday Night Lights is absolutely amazing. One of the best shows out there. Now, I have a question for all you FNL fans. Who is the artist and the name of the song that is played on episode "Lets Get It On" when Jay, Tim, and Lyla are on the booze cruise? Thank you very much. Love FNL!!!

Friday Night Lights is no ordinary television show. It is brilliantly written, filmed and edited so as to make the viewer feel they are right there in Dillon, Texas watching the drama unfold. Each show is about realistic family issues relatable to any age group. The actors are perfectly cast and very believable. A production of this quality is more often found on a movie screen and the quality is consistent, week after week. NBC has done both Friday Night Lights and the viewing public a great disservice by not promoting this show as they should and by not putting it in a prime spot in their lineup. If you are not watching Friday Night Lights, you are missing the most outstanding series on television.

I’ve only started watching Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD a few months ago with my mom, and we were just a tad bit HOOKED. Friday Night Lights makes me compare my life to the characters'; just thinking of what each person goes through every day, every week makes me laugh, smile and cry. Since we finished enjoying the DVDs quite awhile ago, I’m glad that it’s showing on NBC again. My whole fmaily loves this show, including the grandparents!
