Freddy Krueger invades the minds of a new group of teens -- and the nightmares begin again. Local teenagers start dying and only Nancy Thompson knows the truth. Now a doctor at the local psychiatric hospital, she is the lone survivor of one of Freddy's previous killing sprees. Now, it's a fight against her co-workers' disbelief and a race against time to stop Freddy before he kills again. Starring Emmy-winner and Golden Globe-nominee Patricia Arquette (TV's "Medium," "True Romance"), Heather Langenkamp (TV's "Just the Ten of Us"), Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominee and Emmy Award-winner Laurence Fishburne ("What's Love Got To Do With It," TV's "Miss Evers' Boys"), Golden Globe-winner John Saxon ("Enter the Dragon," "The Appaloosa"), and Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger ("Urban Legend," "The Mangler").

I disagree with anyone who calls A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 a bad sequel, but this one is much better! You get Freddy’s wicked sense of humor on full display for the first time, you get some truly creepy atmosphere(as in the house from the first movie being, for the first time, the haunted house that we see for the rest of the franchise), you get some good plotting, some really cool special effects, and even some great acting! In the words of Freddy Krueger: “Welcome to Prime Time, b****!”

My second favorite movie, the first being the original. Completely makes pun for the garbage show that was the sequel.

The movie is amazing, and it's my favorite in the series, however the picture is really grainy on iTunes, which is a problem ONLY on this one. I hope eventually iTunes fixes this issue.

A great cast, imaginative storyline with good scares, and a satisfying conclusion. It would have been a good place to end the series as a whole.
  • Best Freddy Krueger movie!

What can I say? Well, this is by far my favorite nightmare movie, just as good, if not better than the first one! it has by far the most creative scenes in all of the franchise, Freddy is at his best, scary and sarcastic at the same time, a nightmare 3 also has probably the youngest and most likable cast in all of the franchise, we really feel for them, a real masterpiece in the horror genre.
  • One of my faves from the series!

Aside from the original this is my favorite Nightmare On Elm Street movie. Defiantly better than second film that's for sure! I also like how this is set in a 'mental' hospital to mix things up a bit. PLUS Nancy is in it :) This is the last classic Nightmare film (besides a new nightmare) to have her in it so that's cool. If you are a horror fan this is a must own! Same with the original & the whole series really. ;)
  • Love that movie
