Description

The newest film from George A. Romero (legendary creator of the Night of the Living Dead franchise) picks up where Diary of the Dead leaves off - in a nightmarish world where humans are the minority and the zombies rule. Off the coast of Delaware sits Plum Island, where two families are locked in a struggle for power. The O'Flynns approach the zombie plague with a shoot-to-kill attitude. The Muldoons feel that zombies should be quarantined and kept "alive" in hopes that a solution will someday be found.

Survival of the Dead was terrible. My friends and i love horror movies, especially zombie and we all agreed this was terribble. Not worth the money at all. It had no plot and the animation and gore was just pathatic. Worst movie i have ever seen in my life.

It's the reincarnation of the original "day of the dead", in cowboy style. Nothing more.

Terrible. Geroge needs to watch The Walking Dead and understand that we want to see good scripts and beliveable characters. The whole idea of an Island off of Delaware populated by people with Irish accents and a cowboy Irishman with a duster coat was just too much. The NG characters could have been more real life too. No NCO in the NG is going to be walking around with a double holster of single action revolvers. Also, BDU uniforms were phased out in 2004. Time to get a military consultant George. Don't waste your time unless you just need to see that latest of the story line.

I love George A. Romero. I Watched all his films Growing up. From night to day from the crazies to monkey shines. I've seen them all and I've loved them all. But this one didnt quite fit well with ALL his other classics. I'm assuming maybe he didn't have the budget for it or someone just raped his script. But this is not an instant classic like his others. I hope somewhere in the future we get flesh eater film that we all know and deserve. I know you got it in you George!

A very boring and dull movie. I feel sorry for anyone who invested their hard earned money in this junk barfed up by Romero. A huge waste of time. Not entertaining, not thrilling or even amusing. You mostly feel bad for the actors who seem to be trying to deliver a performance in the middle of a moronic script. Romero has abdicated the throne of zombie king with his continuing dreck. His films just get worse and worse.

I typically don't write reviews, and I typically don't believe that I tend to be hyper-critical, but this movie was just a very lazy effort by all involved. There are no real scares, the effects are 80s vintage, the acting substandard, and the gunplay scenes are beyond poor. Love this genre, but did not like this movie at all.
