World's Greatest Dad

I thought this was going to be a comedy like it says, even the preview looked funny...this was a movie where I only continued to the end because I didn’t think it could get any worse...well it didn’t get worse just never got better.

This is one of Williams' worst. Bad movie.

Robin Williams plays a dad who's son in the whole movie is awful. Kid is into just being a completely ugly person and really perverted. The movie revolves around how we would deal with such people and how we deal with the loss of such a person. It turns your views on a dime. Robin Williams makes for a great dad to someone who was ungrateful and undeserving. But, in the end was remembered by a legacy his dad helped build. I can't go into detail it's a movie you got to watch. They should show this in Psycology classes. It would be a great essay to write about.

I loved this movie it was so unique.

This is a wonderful dark comedy where Robin Williams truly shines. His talent for subtle expression is exemplary. It's a movie of so many emotions and themes, but the one that really shines through is living life on life's terms. It is a must see, and I highly recommend it.

A waste of William s talent. The story line is nihilistic. The characters have no appeal. At moments m the movie lapses into silence for extended periods,so that it seems like a malfunction. So badly written that even Williams fine acting can't redeem it. The ending simply makes no sense Don't buy, don't rent don't watch

See this. It's a sort of "what would you do, given the situation?" type of movie. Very sweet, but it's definitely an acquired taste. I loved it.

You can't watch this movie without instantly taking a stand on it. Having said that, my stand is that the movie packs a lesson and is darkly funny. The movie is a roller coaster of thoughts. 5 minutes into the film I thought it was great! After the explicit scene, I thought the film was horrible. After the death, I thought it was great again. After lance started lying, I thought it was horrible again. When he admits what he did wrong, I loved it again. Also a great ending. -Tyler V

I regret ever seeing this movie

This is my first comment and the bad reviews compelled me to write this. Couple reviews said the plot is dumb, bad acting, vulgar blah blah blah. I think the plot in this movie is great. Robin Williams character is an aspiring writer who wanted to influence people and give his potential readers something to relate to and help them through their lives. His son is such a little perverted jerk who was really not that smart at all. So his son ends up killing himself accidentally by choking himself while masturbating. Robin is embarrassed by this and makes it seem like his son killed himself on purpose by hanging himself and planting a suicide note. Anyways the suicide note goes public and it ends up influencing a lot of people. Kind of messed up but robins dreams came true through the death of his son. If that plot is dumb to you then you just have bad taste in movies. Sorry for all the bad grammar and whatever other mistakes I made but you get what I'm trying to say. This movie rocked! One of my favorite movies now.
