Never Cry Wolf

This is still my favorite Disney film

This film illustrates the absolute necessity of wild life, both predator and prey, and the ultimate simplicity of their roles versus the infinitely complicated perception humans have of our place on the planet.

One of my favorite movies. Oh how I want this on Bluray!

This is my all time favorite film. It is a 2 hour meditation. It deserves a proper re-release on Blu-ray. Doubt we'll see that though. The cinematography, music, sound editing (academy award) and acting are perfection. This is probably one of the greatest solo acting performances (Charles Martin Smith) with the possible exception of James Franco in 127 hours. It is a slow film by today's standards, but that is where the beauty lies.

Amazing story, amazing cinematography. Simply breathtaking. I've seen it a dozen times, and American always moved by the scenery, bleakness, soundtrack, and ambiance.

My mom took me when I was little. It has stayed with me. Now my children have watched it. It will stay with them as well. it's Disney while they still had somewhat of a conscience and didn't rely so heavily on cartoons and commercialism. it's a beautiful film. please watch it.

I've seen complaints about the quality of the home video version of "Wolf," so I'm happy to report that this HD copy looks quite good, with strong colors and good sound (it had an Oscar nomination for sound). The picture could be cleaned up a bit more, but there's still plenty to enjoy of Carroll Ballard's great visual style. The well-done screenplay is a bit different from the book, which is a good read. Never Cry Wolf is a unique experience, especially on a widescreen TV. Pass the snow cones!

I remember watching this as a young boy, and it moved me to tears. It introduced me to the bassoon and ambient music and environmentalism. It was one of the first films that truly shaped my character and being.

A classic and timeless film which is almost totally unknown in the 20-something college crowd. Although it is a nature film about a serious topic, there are more laugh out loud moments in here than most films, and it's just beautiful to see the grandeur of the landscape. This is the first film I bought on iTunes, and I have no regrets! Worth every penny.
