I saw this movie at the drive in when I was a kid. I laughed so long and hard my dad asked me what was wrong with me? May not be for you but I bet you kid will like it a lot. : )

If Ethel Merman’s incessant screeching doesn’t drive you away, the aimless and plodding story will. Hard to describe how boring this is, anyone stating they were entertained by this movie must’ve spent a lot of time in solitary confinement.

A must watch movie! Seriously should be mandatory to watch.

This is a me of my favorite movies and it came out way before I was born

PS paulrm, the movie WAS presented in Cinerama, and it was shot in ULTRA Panavision 70, not Super.

I love this film, and so will you! But Apple, please work with Janus to get the Criterion Collection version of this magnificent film into iTunes Movies! It absolutely MUST be here! Nothing beats that gorgeous 4K transfer!

The quality is fantastic. I love watching this film from my childhood. It is a real classic and the other reviews were right. This version is missing the intermission and several scenes have been cut. The intermission was originally placed in because of the limits of VHS Tapes. I bought this film for the nostalgia, and while most of the story is there, I do not like seeing movies from my childhood edited. The story is great, but I hate edited content, especially when individuals are expected to be a "responsible customer" and purchase what is in the market.

I think the only person missing from this mayhem was Groucho Marx. A comedy triumph in ever possible way. One of my favorite bits: a cameo by Jerry Lewis that lasts less than 10 seconds. And who could forget Jonathan Winters tearing apart a gas station/garage... with his bare hands! A film unlike any before and could probably never be made again.

I saw this movie when it first came out in 1963 when I was 9. It never gets old, never gets less funny and will forever be the best movie I've ever seen. When I left the theater that night I remember two things; thinking that I wish every day of my life, from then on, I could laugh out loud at least once a day just like I did that night and that was also the night that I saw my dad laugh so hard he had tears streaming down his cheeks.
