Description

Admiral Kirk's defeat of Khan and the creation of the Genesis planet are empty victories. Spock is dead and McCoy is inexplicably being driven insane. Then a surprise visit from Sarek, Spock's father, provides a startling revelation: McCoy is harboring Spock's living essence. With one friend alive and one not, but both in pain, Kirk attempts to help his friends by stealing the U.S.S. Enterprise and defying Starfleet's Genesis planet quarantine.   • A Good Continuation of Star Trek II

    This film works for me as a followup to Wrath of Khan only because it is about more of the same values that worked so well in the previous film. All of the friendship and camaderie and sacrifice are here again. The crew goes to find their friend and father and son work for a better relationship. Does the film fall in short in areas? Certainly and while I don't tell them, this movie works.

    The 720p version of the movie is missing sound. I've reported it to Apple. I was able to stream to my previous generation Apple TV by downloading the 1080p version to iTunes and streaming from there. Not ideal, but it worked.

    The movie itself is 5 stars, B-U-T, I rented the HD version of this on my iPad 2 three days ago & THERE WAS NO SOUND. Yes, that's right -- THE HD MOVIE HAS NO SOUND. Keep that in mind when attempting to download this using an original iPad 2 ....
