Being the wife or girlfriend of a pro-football player might sound like a glamorous and stress-free existence, but this past year Melanie Barnett (Tia Mowry) has learned the truth in season 2 of The Game. When her fiancee', Derwin Davis (Pooch Hall) a rookie wide receiver for the San Diego Sabers, cheated on her with a music pop star, she calls off the engagement and the relationship. Alone, Melanie will discover who her real friends are and re-evaluate her life and career options. Tasha Mack (Wendy Raquel Robinson) will focus on getting back in the dating game and her growing sports management company, leaving her star quarterback son Malik Wright (Hosea Chanchez ) to find motherly advice in all the wrong places. Kelly (Brittany Daniel) must learn how to balance being a wife, mother and career woman during her husband's new and trying football season. As a veteran star player, Jason Pitts (Coby Bell) is focused more than ever to maintain his star football position, but as faster new players arrive and his old age becomes an issue as he struggles to remain on top.
