"Watson has declared that 'there's nothing wrong with being a terrorist, as long as you win. Then you write the history," He has also said that 'If you don't know an answer, a fact, a statistic, then ... make it up on the spot." The methods of the eco-terrorist group Sea Shepherd are well-documented and include the use of limpet mines to scuttle whaling boats, hurling bottles of foul-smelling butyric acid on rival ships, and rifle fire, among other violent tactics. Watson's anti-human worldview flows from a radical brand of Darwinism that is at war with God. He and his Sea Shepherd associates reject the biblical teaching that man is God's appointed steward over the creation. They advance their terrorist agenda with a twisted religious ferocity that shows that they worship the creature rather than the Creator.... "Watson speaks regularly of the 'virus of humanity' and has declared openly that 'in this war between our species and the others . . . I side most passionately with them against us, a proud traitor to my species." Watson has also stated that 'earthworms are far more valuable than people' and that he stands 'in opposition to . . . those parasites who believe the Earth is here to serve human interests.' His conclusion is a frightening one: 'We need to radically and intelligently reduce human population to fewer than one billion." I have a proposal for you Mr. Watson ....Put your money where your mouth is, You and your Sea Shepherd associates go First! "It turns out you see that the only reason we are down here in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary protecting whales is because we are fundamentalist extremist disciples of Charles Darwin. Yes sir, Charles Darwin is to blame for this mess because he started people down the road of thinking for themselves, instead of blindly following the dictates and guidance of a silly over-rated book written by a gang of chauvinistic sheep herding thugs in the desert a few thousand years ago." A Traitor to God & A Traitor to Humanity.

This is a great show. That's just about all that can be said. People have complained aobut the plot, and that it's slow-moving, blah blah, but it isn't as though it can be helped. This is real life, and whatever happens just happens. Granted, it can be a bit overdramatic at times, but if you get over that, it's easy to really immerse yourself in it. It's beautifully recorded straight from the front line, amazingly orchestrated, and really touching too. Some things to note, though: First and foremostly, there is a review below claiming that Sea Shepherd is a terrorist organization. This is absolutely untrue. Sea Shepherd's tactics are purely economic and political, and they have never hurt anyone (besides themselves) in the Southern Ocean. As a bit of a background, Sea Shepherd weaponry includes nontoxic stink bombs, slicking agent, and prop-foulers(long, knotted ropes meant to entangle a ship's propellor), the use of which can hardly be called terrorist acts. In sharp contrast, the Japanese whalers have used weapons and tactics such as directing LRADs(Long Range Acoustic Device--creates a highly focused blast of sound meant to disorient) at individuals, small inflatable boats, and even a helicopter; using high-powered water cannons on individuals; throwing metal bolts and golf balls; and even ramming (and, in one specific case, sinking) other ships, all of which have the potential to be fatal. In the end, though, the notion of Sea Shepherd as a terrorist organization is nothing more than Japanese propaganda. Second, and probably least importantly, first mate and long-time Sea Shepherd Peter Brown was absent during this campaign. I can't speak for anyone else, but I was quite concerned about the amount of arguments that occurred during seasons 1 and 2 of Whale Wars, when he was present. The show seemed less like a documentary and was on the brink of turning into a reality show. (Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great guy, but he wasn't the best for the show itself. But that's hardly important.) Luckily, though, such drama doesn't find a place in this season. And third, it should be noted that this is a show revolving around whaling. It's a very gruesome practice, and though there were no whales killed in the presence of Sea Shepherd this year, previous footage of whales being harpooned, dragged aboard whaling vessels, and cut up. These images and video clips are incredily graphic and disturbing--if you're not prepared, it's quite a shock. Though many of these episodes are rated TV-PG, I wouldn't show this to anyone who isn't at least 12 or 13. All formalities aside, though, this is a great show, a great cause, and a great organization; I support them all the way.
  • Unbelievable: a show in support of terrorism!

I have watched this show a couple of times. Each time, I find myself angry by the end of the show. I believe their tactics are ridiculous and un called for. They are interfering with a legal operation and jeopardizing an individual's right to earn a living. I find myself rooting for the whalers! There are much better uses of my time than to be subjected to this! I wish people would get as worked up towards reforming our country and getting back to the basics that our founding fathers envisioned. Personal freedoms, religious freedoms, and the in-impeded pursuit of happiness. Wake up and pay attention to things that truly matter! These people are terrorists, plain and simple.
  • AMAZING show!!!!!!!! :)
