Summer Camp Island, Vol. 2

Hideous. Two stars for the gorgeous backgrounds in series 3-5, and the Oscar Peterson-like jazzy piano, some very peripheral characters. None of the main characters are endearing, charming, interesting and SCI does NOT fill any Adventure Time “hole”. I wish that people would stop using their roles on AT, even insignificant positions, to sell their own works. And please, creators, stop the meta-referencing, and casting yourselves in major roles; you’re not voice actors. If Julia Pott’s Susie wasn’t the ugliest animated cat I’ve ever seen, her flat, 40-ish British voice essentially reading the script, line for line, and her truly sadistic character is unwatchable. The two main characters are insufferable. Immaturity ≠ Whimsy.

Episodes 8 and 9 is missing from this vol, still a great series, hope they put complete volume out!
