An excellent film that was well written and directed by the talented Jon Stewart. The cast's performances are exceptional bringing to light the plight of Mr. Behari.

I am really glad that I watched Rosewater. It’s not a fun popular type movie but it is extremely moving and educating. I now understand why John Stewart felt he needed to do this story.

Movie is played out perfectly. Garcia is excellent. Jon has lots of unique images that make him a standout as a director.

Movie extends scenes to make it a standard length movie… but story could have been told in much less time. Also there is no moment of enlightenment in this movie. All very much a flat liner.

i ended up enjoying this movie even though i almost gave up on it a couple of times. i’m glad i didn’t but it’s a bit of a slog. the picture it paints of life in iran is one that needs to be seen, however, and a reminder that we’re all just people, underneath it all. gael garcia bernal is incredible, as usual.
