F this, F that, SW having friends she would never have in real life, & almost fell asleep during much of it until SW looked appealing. Surely only the spouse swappers, and sleep with anyone or everyone types, may love it, as well as many immoral types will love the twisted ending. *Yawn*

plot twist af at the end. good movie. the mother is an awful actress though.

I know the ratings are not that high on this, but I thought it was a pretty good movie. I liked the characters, enjoyed the plot and even had a good twist at the end. Worth renting!

to be honest the ending was predictable although one part of it wasn’t ( SPOILER**** the father/phil affair) but I liked how it was symbolic in many ways.

The title makes sense, for this movie. Oh boy I was not expecting the ending. When you think you have the characters all figured out, the ending slaps you in the face. This would make for good book.

What an excellent film. I was so unsure about the casting throughout but the ending really pulls it all together. David Lynch die hards will be really happy with this. I didn’t understand the heavy handed casting of Eva Green until the end, and then it really became clear why she was cast in this role, and her handling of the character. I think anyone short of a basic understanding/skepticism of gender roles and of contemporary progressive issues will be put off by this film, angered or protectively non-plussed by the story, but this film really comes together in the final scenes. The mother’s portrayal is somewhat demonized, and it becomes such a perfect allegory for perceived women’s roles in real life, in my mind. You can’t take your eyes off Shailene, as usual. Highly recommend this film. I think it will become a classic.

I would recommend this movie to anyone. The cast was amazing and played the characters perfectly. It was haunting yet heart warming in a interesting way

I knew very little about this Araki film until I read about it in an article in Dazed & Confused. Araki’s take on how outsiders perceive feelings in mundane things peaked my interest. Though you can argue that the ending is predictable, what you can’t predict is how you will end up feeling at the end of the film. Saddened, nauseous, understood or heartbroken. Through the twisted lens of 80s alt kid culture, you will come away relating to one of the characters. Bravo Mr. Araki!

This film was awesome, very good story and very good acting.
