Description

Peter is a freshly minted movie star. He has it all: wealth, fame and a beautiful expecting wife. When the couple’s two best friends join them at their new mountain mansion for Peter’s birthday, envy, secrets and paranoia play out behind a barren winter landscape. Soon the two couples grow increasingly antagonistic and turn to alcohol and drugs to bury the past. When an old friend shows up unexpectedly, Peter must scramble to protect his new life. The harder he fights to hold it all together, the faster he descends into a cavernous mental abyss. As the night grows late, Peter is forced to decipher reality from a twisting rabbit hole of truth and illusion.

Worth a watch no doubt. Dark and eerie, and it’s definitely not a horror movie, so don’t expect that. It’s much more of a psychological thriller and it’s great.
  • Pleasantly Surprised

Read about this on Wired and had to see it because it was shot on an iPhone. I was a skeptic going in and in some ways still am, but was pleasantly surprised. I walked away enjoying the story and forgetting about what it was shot on. Not perfect, but definitely worth a watch.
  • Blew my mind. I need to watch this again!

I still am not completely sure what just happened. This movie just bent my mind. Psychological thriller and edge of my seat is an understatement. Shot on the iPhone? Definitely worth scoping.

BOLD encompasses the efforts of the filmmakers. If you've seen the trailer or poster, you'll know that this film proudly states that it was shot entirely on the iPhone; and however you feel about that, it's a BOLD move that deserves credit in itself. But smartphone or not, Director Ricky Fosheim has made clear his efforts to give you an 'uneasy' ride into madness. The premise might sound familiar: two couples retreat to a luxurious cabin for some fun and bad things start to happen... but Forsheim and his actors (Fisch, Spezzano, Tucker, Nunes, Nipper) are hellbent on giving you the unexpected at every turn - so much so that it (might) lose you several times through it's labyrinth script... and then you realize that's the idea. Engrossing as it is disturbing, 'Uneasy Lies The Mind' pulls out all the stops in making your head spin. An appropriate title indeed.
  • I can't believe this movie was shot on a cell phone!

This movie is pretty cool, especially considering how they made it. Lots of weird, dark, twisted turns. My only critique is that it starts out a little slow and takes a while to really pick up. Total mind trip.
