Just felt me speechless. My husband and I were laughing, crying and put into thought about life lessons. Open your mind and heart to it <3

If you're reading this, don't worry about the other reviewers basically trying to critique this movie like they're a part of Rotten Tomatoes or judges of the Oscars. "Wish I Was Here" is a great movie that I had bought a couple weeks back and haven't been able to watch until just now. It expresses real world living and how one person, even if it seems on a small scale, can make a huge difference on a few people, especially those they care about. Now, hopefully that doesn't spoil it for you because that's as basic as I can go. I admire this movie and can't wait to see it again with the rest of my family when I get the chance. If you watch it with your family though, just make sure if you have small children you might wanna skip over the swear jar parts or they may get ideas.

The movie captures what it feels like to be 30, in the way that Garden State captured what its like to be 20. Not a single bad performance. Everyone was great. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll wish Zach Braff made more movies.
  • Not the best

This movie would be five times better with twice as much Kate Hudson, Mandy Patinkin, and the girl who played the daughter, and half as much Zach Braff. The scene with Kate Hudson and Mandy Patinkin alone was exceptional…the only real high point in the movie for me.

Such a different way of viewing different topics of life. I do not understand 'rotten tomatoes'. This movie made me laugh and cry. Smile and it was thoughtful. Characters well written and performed.

the children and Kate Hudson were the only good things in this movie. Everything else was empty and cheap.

I did not think the story line was extraordinary, and some of the lines are a bit rehearsed, but this movie made me feel pretty good about life, and I had fun watching it.

So boring I can't describe it. There aren't words. The story was lame, the plot was a total reach, and I spent the whole excruciating time wondering "how can I get my money back". I feel bad for the people Braff con'd into giving their money to Kickstarter for this. That should have been the first clue - studios and people who actually know movie-making wouldn't fund the project. Rad flag. Don't waste your time, or money. Zero stars.
