Description

This hilarious sendup of everyone's favorite guilty pleasure - the romantic-comedy - stars Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler as the most unlikely couple you'll meet outside a Nora Ephron film. Joel (Rudd) is a big-time corporate suit vying to shut down Molly's (Poehler) quirky indie candy shop around the corner … and to steal her heart. They live happily ever after…until they don't. But maybe they do? (Hint: Joel bares his heart in a big speech at the end.) From the director of Wet Hot American Summer and Role Models comes this fresh, irreverent comedy with heart.

Truly original, reminds me of “Wet hot American summer” cast, all grown up. Very slap stick humor, full of one liners. Too funny. Enjoy!!!

If you’re not a fan of silly parody movies then obviously you won’t like this! Bad reviews are either from people who don’t like this type of humor, don’t get the jokes or don’t realize it’s a parody! I love Wet Hot American summer and this is from the same people with a lot of the same actors. I’ve seen this about four times and I laugh out loud at certain parts every time!

I laughed one time during the movie. Most of the movie was crass and low IQ. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. My opinion of Paul Rudd just went down the toilet forever. All the charisma in the world could NOT PULL that one OFF… that was major cheese ! Money back please 💩.
  • so bad I didn't watch after the first 15 minutes

I am not found of the humor that left me wanting to pull my hair out for them to finish their dialogue. I have never written a review, and hope this heps folks in the over 50 age group realize the humor is a lot like dumb and dumber. Like the cast, hated the humor.

Not sure why the reviews are so bad, this movie is hilarious. I guess it's an acquired brand of humor, but I think it's a genius lampoon of rom coms.

This is the worst movie I ever paid for. Shocked that Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd could make such a horrible movie but surprise they did.
  • I don't get it.

Are there seriously people on Earth who watched the scene where Paul Rudd pulls a hamburger out from behind a kid's ear and didn't burst out laughing?

I couldn't finish the movie. I made it to a joke that was based on a responding to a question with a question that also happens to be redundant and one party continues to answer the same question over and over til the end of time. It was terrible.
