Description

Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston star in this laugh-out-loud comedy about leaving it all behind. After George (Rudd) loses his high-stress Manhattan job, he and his wife, Linda (Aniston), hit the road and wind up crashing at Elysium, a free-spirited community of hippies, tree-huggers and the occasional nudist. Featuring an all-star ensemble cast including Justin Theroux, Malin Akerman and Alan Alda, Wanderlust has “more laughs than I’ve had at the movies in a very long time.” (Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer)

I loved this film. It felt true to the David Wain of Wet Hot American Summer. So funny! Jokes and characters are excellent. I feel like this film will pick up the cult following Wet Hot did over time.

I cried numerous times laughing so hard. The part where Paul is practicing in front of the mirror is worth the whole movie. Loved it and I'm not an Anniston fan. Watch it. Don't listen to the reviews. It was awesome.

I rented this because I ran out of options, thinking it would be the kind of movie that made me slap my forehead and groan from the stupid slapstick humor... Instead, it was really funny. The characters drove the movie, every character type was ridiculed equally, not just the hippies. There were a lot of subtle and clever jokes too, not just idiocy, although there were in fact a few really stupid and annoying parts. Often I find myself laughing so hard that I missed the next joke. If you let the flat jokes bother you or take the premise too seriously, you might end up just groaning through the movie. But If you're willing to ignore a lot of the silliness, this can be extremely enjoyable.
  • Too much penis talk

It was eh ok I guess. There are a number of places in this movie that I fast forwarded past. Paul Rudd takes it a bit far. He talks about his penis too much in a couple of scenes. There isn't much of a plot or reason for this movie. Kind of waste of time.

I think a lot of viewers read too much into this movie... If you just relax and sit back, it was truly a great ride. Very funny.
