I’m a long time terry Gilliam fan there is a British version of Brazil I think it’s referred as the love conquers all cut a much more involved cut of this awesomely funny , dark , and sometimes disturbing movie still an amazing visual trip

This movie is mind blowing and amazing. Definitely recommend it.

Brazil has been one of my favorite films since its debut. Stoppard's text was a perfect fit for Gilliam's vision. And few directors can match Gilliam's visual style. I'm glad this original US release is still available. I prefer it over the other versions, even the director's cut. This version still has the dystopian finale, but also is leaner and better paced than the director's cut. I found that the added footage did little more than slow down the story. If you've never seen Brazil, this is a good place to start. As others have suggested, if you're curious about the other versions, the Criterion Collection features all them (plus a fascinating documentary).

This is a really great movie and the cut here, while not the best, is not the worst either. I think most people know the story and the best plan is to get the Criterion collection version and get all the versions. The iTunes blurb states the movie is Full Screen, and it isn’t. iTunes really make a lot of mistakes like this. Movie is widescreen.

I now have 2 out of my 3 favorite films in HD on iTunes. Blade Runner & Brazil. Now, if I could get the iTunes gods to shine down on me once again and bless me with the 1986 classic Thrashin'. I can die knowing that it happened. DAGGERS!!!!!!!

Brazil is one of the excellent classic films weaving socio-political satire, dark humor and a bit of Monty Python thrown in. It is one of the very few movies that similar-to-Hitchcock, there are important background props adding to the story that one misses in the first and second viewings. Those with a political science and/or history background along with those versed in psychology will enjoy this movie even more than the rest of the population. Easily one of the very best movies I have ever seen!

I have waited years for this to be available on iTunes !!! Thank you Thank you Thank you! A great magical revealing film. Prepare to be amazed !

The blend of humor, science fiction, horror and sarcasm is beyond expert.

Brazil had a very… difficult road of production and release. There are currently four primary versions: The European Theatrical Cut (142min.), The US Theatrical Cut (131min. THIS VERSION), The "Love Conquers All" Sheinberg TV Edit (94min. and makes no sense, despite its "happy ending"), and Terry Gilliam's "Final" Director's Cut (142min, but different than the European Cut. Only available via Criterion Collection). Although this version is nowhere near as bad as the "Love Conquers All" version, it still isn't quite Brazil. The European version has minor, cosmetic differences with the "Final" cut, and many less-detail-oriented will not notice any changes (to a film crafted by one of the most detail-oriented artists in film). Highly recommend getting ahold of the Director's preferred "Final" Cut, rather than this not-quite-as-butchered version.
