This movie is soo good I love it. This movie showed that their was a mr grey before Christian grey. The ending though really gets me every time I watch it but I recommend highly. Mickey is soo cute😍. I loved their chemistry together.

I have watched this movie countless times, definitely more now that I have bought it here. you have to realize this came out in the 80's, before the all out sex in movies of today, people are de-sensitized. this movie was a big deal, I was in my very early 20's and I didn't even know you could have this kind of sex. this was before the internet & all the information accessibility. it certainly opened my eyes, my mind & my body to finding real passion and that sex was more than a few minutes of screwing in the dark.

I rented this because it had good reviews. I'm giving it 2 stars because I felt this story could have been told in 10 minutes. Nothing really happens and no character development. This movie had a lot going. The cinematography was stunning and the b-roll was interesting. Then beginning started out good. But then it started to drag. I felt it was 2 hours of not much going on. I did like Micky and Kim together. However I dont recommend this for someone who is looking for a "thrill"x buy see for yourself if you like it. I, for one, was not a fan of this movie.

This film has me yearning for more. I wish there were an alternate ending, but it is probably best left the way it is. The sequel isn't the same, but this movie was wonderful. Passion and romance are the premise. Throughout, the film brings to light mainstream S&M to an extent. Overall it is about power and dominance of a relationship, how far one will go until the tables are turned and it's over. If you haven't seen this, please do. This was the most beautiful era of Mickey Rourke captured physically (on film), however his acting has never failed, even to this day. Kim Basinger did a decent job, however she was a bit too quirky for my taste and the excessive screams of joy were a bit much. I bought this movie a few days ago. It was sort of a "full circle" kind of thing that led me to it. Someone told me about "Slave For Love"... looked it up and saw the track was in this film. I ignored the film, until later that night when my boyfriend mentioned it. Alas here I am gushing about it. Definitely a Mickey Rourke fan from here on out, as his acting was impeccable and by far the most handsome move star of that decade. **Please be mindful that this is in the heart of the 80s. Music and fashion may be dated, however: Love, Romance, Passion, and Beauty live on eternally. P.S. -- Get the HD version. I bought SD and it was extremely grainy. :)
