Over all a very good movie. Keeps you interested the whole time and starts the action right away. Many unexpected plot twists. I don't know what people are talking about when they say the acting is bad. It's not amazing but it's not bad. The actors do a great job of playing their part and showing important traits of their character. The ending leaves something to be desired but it definitely doesn't ruin the whole movie. All in all it's definitely worth the price to rent

People say it is "rotten" "cheasy" and "stupid" bit me and my little brother love it! Ok it's not an little kid movie but for older kids like 10 am up it is a fun family movie.

Great Sci-Fi Electrcity Movie.

These other people are crazy. I saw it at the movies and recently purchased a physical copy! Great movie especially if you want a scary movie and don't want to look at scary things or images.

We science fiction junkies out there crave anything alien, monsterish, "sciency," and thrilling. I thought this would be "poopy" based on the word out there, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a unique idea (what the aliens are, how they kill, what effects they have on things around them, etc) done in a thoughtful manner. We syfi-ers are used to bad acting and thin plots; we just want an original idea surrounded by some real tension and good sets, and this delivered. If you can't enjoy this at all, then I wonder why you would pick to watch it in the first place. What do you want? It's not a horror movie. A true syfi-er will watch everything strange, weird and "monstery" and come away enjoying the experience, even if it's just for the ideas. The Darkest Hour is a hard-core science fiction movie. Those who complain that there are plot holes and inconsistencies just don't get it--it's just alien fun! As for the motivations of the aliens . . . I like that most of it is left to the imagination, since that's the way it would be if we encountered beings that lived on a different plane of existence. This is a movie about strange beings doing strange things for strange reasons, and a few people trying to figure out how to survive. Anyone with an imagination and a hankering for science fiction would enjoy watching this.

I went in to the theatre with high expectations- DON'T! Horrible acting, slow and undeveloped plot, no climax! Don't waste your money and time!!!!!

This is the best movie I ever have seen in my life

I don't like crappy fake movies but this movie was awesome!! It was suspenseful and creepy and it's totally worth $12.99!!
