Description

After multiple dirty bombs are detonated, spreading deadly toxic ash across Los Angeles, Brad (Rory Cochrane) inadvertently quarantines his wife, Lexi (Mary McCormack), outside their home by safely sealing himself inside. With the city under siege and Martial Law in affect, Brad and Lexi struggle to survive with few supplies, less time and no information- all the while separated by thin doors and thinner sheets of plastic. When help finally arrives, it's anything but.

I don't normally post....but feel that I had to post up my thoughts. After looking thru the other reviews I just rented it. Glad I did.. Worth the rent, but would not buy. The end had a nice twist to it. 3 stars from me...

Independent types are usually hard to consider watching, at least for me. But I was sure glad that I convinced myself to watch this one. It was situationally scary. It was suspenseful. Emotional. It dives into the emotions and decisions people are faced in traumatic situations, and situations that people generally don't expect to be in because they think it is impossible. The movie was well filmed as well. the unknown actors did a really good job, and it was more fun to watch because I had never seen the actors before. I really like the movies where you have a disaster like situation, whether a virus killing and turning people into zombies or a monster destroying New York City, but where you only go through what the character's go through, you don't have a lot of answers because you only know what characters in those particular situations would realistically know. Very good movie. Please watch.

I keep racking my brain trying to think of something to recommend this movie, but the movie simply isn't good. And in reality the movie isn't even worth the time to explain why it's so bad. The movie doesn't try to achieve any sort of greatness, and there's no spectacle to it's failure. There's no sense of LA, no sense of horror, no believeability to the characters, their emotions, actions. The ending falls flat. There's little here but wasted opportunity.

He should have been there for his wife and not sealing himself from her. That is good irony!
  • Watch It.

Reasonably good acting, good plot, wonderfully twisted ending. Well worth watching.

No, the characters were not highly exciting, but I think that was purposeful. Throughout the movie, I kept wondering what I would have done in the same situation. I agree, the guy was a jerk, but so was the government! Deeply makes you question right, wrong, and when/if it is allowable to "throw someone else under the bus" if it means you might save your own life. Hmmm? Good movie, watch it through to the end.

Well, just ok. It wasn't too graphic. Acting ok. Story line ok. Ending unsatisfying.

The longer this movie went, the dumber it got. I have to agree with another reviewer ... "I wanted to ductape my laptop shut so the stupidity wouldn't leak into my house." That pretty much sums it up.
