This movie is a real puzzler, coming from Disney back in the Walt days. There are scenes with a hooker in Paris, and parents asking each other if they've had "the talk" with their teenage children. Unexpected for sure, but that's not the problem with this film. It's long, drags, and begs you to suspend all sense of reality. There are too many amazing coincidences. The father gets lost in the sewer system and when he find the surface it just happens to be where his teenage son is wooing a young lady - out of all the intersections in Paris. The father turns down an approach from the hooker, only to find his son with the same women, again in all of Paris. There's just too many dumn things like this, plus all of the cast are people you really wouldn't want to spend time with. The clueless and overbearing father, the Stepford wife, the angst ridden teenager, the love struck daughter, and the brat who wanders off and puts himself at risk at every turn. Sorry, Walt, this was not one of your better ones. The only redeeming parts are those shot on the U.S. United States liner.
