Not much of a story and hard to follow at times. Jumps around. Unsuccessfully tried to inject humor into a drama. Some big names, but it became pretty obvious why this movie never got an accolades. It’s just not good.

An outstanding story of courage and how the greatest generation met the enemy with overwhelming force and preserved our liberty!

A decent drama about British intelligence operations in the Indian Ocean area of World War II. It has the typical annoying movie mistakes of films made in the 70's/80's such as the men's hair styles are 70's/80's instead of military 1940's and the Smith & Wesson revolver used by Gregory Peck known as an "Airweight Bodyguard" and/or the Model 38 didn't begin manufacturing until 1955.

The TV show Magnum P.I. fits more story into a one hour tv show than this movie does in two hours. It is a classic WWII movie which is a portrayal of real events and I don't expect the 21st Century effects but nevertheless it is a boring story. It isn't filmed, directed, or acted poorly it is just not two hours worth of anything interesting. You could spend two hours at a senior citizen center and get equal entertainment. Bridge Too Far, Longest Day, Guns of Navarone have memorable scenes that I saw 35 years ago. What is there to remember about this movie?

I treasure this little-known action/adventure film. Gregory Peck is fatherly and strong as usual in his leadership role; Roger Moore (James Bond) is suave and deadly; Patrick Allen is charmingly irascible as head intelligence officer; while David Niven is Mr Smooth as always. The dessert? A DELICIOUSLY deadly female lead played with sunshiny iciness by Barbara Kellerman. Close-ups of her turned me into a Niagara of hormones! An entertaining blend of light humor and believable action. Based on a true story. Buy it and enjoy it.....please!

"If you do not cooperate, we will be delighted to kill you." Said as only Gregory Peck can say it. This rates right up with the WWII Epics with a more updated feel. Lots of action and humor. The post-middle-age Light Horse Brigade is activated by British Army Intelligence. Overnight the overweight, boozing "soldiers" leave their country club for boot camp for a top secret mission they know nothing about. I've seen this movie at least a dozen times and it never gets old. I'm delighted to see it offered on i-tunes; I'll surely update my worn-out VHS copy. There is one split-second boob shot, but my kids never saw it. Very tastful action, humor, and superb acting. jkentcpa
