Description

Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winner Michael Moriarity ("Law and Order") stars in this chilling sequel to the 1979 horror hit "Salem's Lot." A sleepy New England town harbors a community of the undead -- a horde of blood-frenzied vampires who've kept their ghoulish identities hidden for more than 300 years. Suspense craftsman Larry Cohen (the "It's Alive!" film series) brings us these monstrous characters created by the all-time master of suspense and horror, Stephen King ("1408," "The Green Mile"). Also starring a young Tara Reid ("The Big Lebowski," "American Pie").

I rented this film sometime ago. Salem's lot is better off without a sequel but i did like The Judge in the movie.

Seriously guys. Big fan of the original but this is an utter waste to rent or purchase. There is really no need to see this at all. Very bad acting, effects so on and on....
  • Bad movie - corny rather than creepy

Get the original 1979 Salem's Lot (actors: David Soul and Lance Kerwin)! The originals are always BETTER (in my opinion)! I know this movie is a (very BAD) sequel (if you want to call it a sequel), but might I say that the 21st century hollywood remakes of some 1970s classic movies have been a waste of time & MONEY. By the way, the original Omen & Damien: Omen II aren't available either. Huh?

I didn't look closely at the cover and didn't see the words "a Return to" in the title. They fooled me into thinking that was the original movie. This is a terrible "sequel" to a great horror movie. DO NOT rent this piece of garbage, it's not worth the videotape it was recorded on.

I try to be forgiving when I see a movie that misses its mark... But this one is a terrible disappointment. The "cult classics" of the 70s have more interesting storylines and production value. I want my money back! The only horror from this movie is that I sat through half an hour of it before I shut it down. Don't even take a copy if for free.

I watched a ten minute clip from the film. My reaction was so bad that I didn't even make it through the first four and a half minutes. This is not stephen king.
  • Need the original

This movie is really, really bad. Horrible acting, horrible script, just plain horrible! Come on Itunes....need the original 1974, 4 hour, 'Salems Lot T.V. miniseries. David Soul, Bonnie Bedelia, very scary looking vampire, kid scratching on the window....you know the one?

Dull, unimaginative, and has NOTHING to do with the original... so why is Barlow, the villain from the first movie, on the cover when he isn't even mentioned? FALSE ADVERTISING!!!
