This is one of my favorite Snipes movies. From the storyline to the setting to the atmosphere to the great supporting music that drives the feeling of mystery even further...it's all great. I watch the movie every year or two and enjoy it every time. I've been hoping there would be a blu-ray release but so far no luck. In the mean time I'm probably going to end up buying the HD iTunes version next time I'm ready to watch...although I'd like to see it get down to 9.99 at least. I recently read that Bruce Willis was originally slated to play the lead role and dropped out, opening up the opportunity for Snipes to step in. I like Bruce Willis but I think snipes works so well in this role it is hard to imagine the movie being any better had Willis kept the role. I consider this to be one of those hidden gems from the 90s and would recommend it to anyone.

A surprisingly well written and involving murder mystery thriller. Sure to keep you guessing til the last frames. And feautring strong performances by Diane Lane and, of course, the masterful Alan Alda. It's worth the price for sure.
