Description

As a cunning ex-government assassin turned detective, action hero Steven Seagal must contend with something he's never faced on-screen before--a partner--in the thriller The Glimmer Man. Police detectives Jack Cole (Seagal--Under Siege, Executive Decision) and Jim Campbell (Keenen Ivory Wayans--I'm Gonna Git You Sucka) have almost nothing in common. Forced to work together to catch an infamous serial killer, Cole, a grandstanding loner with Buddhist prayer beads, and Campbell, an impatient, capable loudmouth, must put their differences aside--or die trying. But as the body count continues to mount, Cole discovers an insidious plot more deadly than anyone ever imagined.

Ignore Xenok's review he posts the same review for every movie. This movie was great. Waynes was hillarious and Segal did a great job in the Glimmerman. Probably one of Seagal's better movies. Buyy it.

Steven and Keenen both have a great sense of humor which adds laughter to the movie. Keenen has his own sitcom "My wife and kids" putting these two guys together in a movie makes the movie more fun. Laughter is good for us.

I generally like a good mindless action movie. Seagal put out some that I really enjoyed. Hard to Kill, Above the Law and Under Siege were his best movies. His films typically have a political undertone to them which has shifted to “Save the world” or “Evil polluters must die” from sensible things like people can’t be above the law or you have an aristocracy that does not have to live by the rule of law. In either case the political aspect is very shallow but the concept that all must be governed by the same laws is universally accepted but not universally practiced which makes it a far more interesting political undertone. Another problem with his later moves, Hh just is to heavy and old to be taken seriously as an action hero. Come on Seagal, the camera and make up can only do so much to hide the age and weight. Lastly the best fight scenes he has put out in movies are in those three films. In this move the fight scenes are so edited that you cannot tell which hands are belong to whom in the fights. They are just a blurred mess. Bottom-line, if you want some mostly mindless action and like Seagal watch one of the three mentioned movies if you have not seen them yet. The rest are just not as good and in some cases they are 1 hour and 32 minutes of your life that are lost, not to entertainment but to the hope that at some time the movie will become more entertaining; sadly it did not.

If you like Seagal movies then this wont dissapoint you! But be mindfull of his style, this movie fits in with the classic cheesy im the meanest and at the same time most understanding & modest cop in the world. It's classic seagal with a new age twist.
