Description

In this sequel to the 1984 film, our young hero, again bored with the real world, returns to his storybook's magical land of Fantasia and attempts to slay the evils that threaten the extinction of goodness. There he finds a special brand of courage within himself, a reminder of the eternal, optimistic child within us all. Starring teen heartthrob Jonathan Brandis ("SeaQuest DSV") and John Wesley Shipp ("Sisters"), directed by George Miller ("Andre," "The Man from Snowy River").

This film is a waste of the tools used to make it, not to mention any potential talent. If you're a fan of the book, you should rent this if for no other reason but to laugh hysterically as it has NOTHING to do with the book. The only character from the second half of the book that I remember being in this film is the witch, Xayide. There's no Old Man Of Wandering Mountain, Grogroman, Acharis, etc. If Apple would let me give it no stars, I would. If you don't believe me as to how bad this movie is, check out USIMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, or Wikipedia. It's humorous.

It is no where near as great as the first one, but not really terrible. It turned out better than the third one though.
  • Do not bother...

I still liked it, but it's not as good as the firsst one. I think bastian ,at times, becomes a jerk! But I still enjoyed the storyline, but i didn't always enjoy the characters personality.
  • GET THE FIRST ONE

How about the first one? It seems like everyone wants that one.
