A new, updated version of the popular comic book hero "Superman." The story begins with Superman's birth on the doomed planet Krypton and follows him on his arrival to Earth, his childhood in Kansas and his career as reporter for the Daily Planet.

This movie is just 100/10. But I wish the Extended 3 Hour Version could be separated and be in 4K, have Dolby Vision and have a new Dolby Atmos Track. I love the extended version a lot more than the theatrical release!!!!!

Christopher Reeve's Superman has always been the best superman ever but in other hands Richard Donner who directed the cursed horror film The Omen has directed this lavish superman movie. Richard Donner wanted to adapt Superman as a action packed serious superman film and when it came out in 1978 it blew people's minds like myself watching it now made me tear up and it's a brilliant superhero film to it's core.

The aspect ratio of the theatrical cut has been fixed to it's proper 2.35 format and this is still one of the greatest movies ever made and one of my favorite films of all time. Beautiful visual effects that still hold up, great performances, especially by Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder. So much passion was put into this movie, thanks to the wonderful direction by Richard Donner and beautiful cinematography by Geoffrey Unsworth. I don't even look at this as a regular suprhero film, but one of the great epics in the vein of 2001 and Star Wars. Thank you, Warner Bros and everyone involved with the production for making a fantastic film. It truly made us believe a man could fly.

Movie is incredible, however the DVD offers way more extras than Itunes digital version. I grew up loving the documentaries that came with the dvd, but can't watch them now because of a scratched disc. Would like to see an update with a few more special features

The movie is cut off on the sides; it should be wider. The bonus longer edition is correct and the main feature should be the same aspect ratio. I see complaints on this going back for years so I'm not optimistic Apple will get the correct edition of the main feature but we can always hope. Other services have the main feature in its proper AR so join Movies Anywhere.

This movie was almost perfect. THE ENDING WAS COMPLETE CRAP! But otherwise it was almost perfect
