This WWll classic is one of the more down to earth film adaptations of that war. Very well directed by Gregory Hoblit and very good acting by Bruce Willis, Collin Ferrel, and Marcel lures. What really drove it home for this film is Marcels brilliant acting, portraying Colonel Werner (it’s a must see). Highly worth the two hour runtime of this movie

If this was your first impression of POW's experience in WWII, you might also be led to believe that Hogan’s Heroes portrays how prisoners were treated. However, watch one documentary or actual newsreel type footage of a WWII POW camp and you’ll realize that this movie is all Hollywood.

Hart’s War provides a refreshingly unique perspective on the Second World War. We have seen the gory, D-Day depictions of the war, but of course there were many other subplots that cannot be ignored. It takes a little while to finally realize what war Lt. Hart (Colin Farrell) is fighting, but the build-up is worth it; and those eyebrows remain unscathed through it all. This movie offers each main character – even the Nazis – the opportunity to play the role of potential hero and villain, and you get to decide whose side you are on. War is much more than just foxholes and frontlines, and Hart’s War is not ignorant to that fact.

If you enjoyed the book you'll be disappointed with the movie. If you didn't read the book you'll be disappointed and confused by the movie.

This is a war drama with tuns of twists and turns. It's perfect because it keeps you guessing and enthralled. It doesn't hurt that Colin Farrell is a fox either! ;)

Very interesting movie. Interesting how it shows that for some people the war didn't end for them once they were captured.
