One of the best documentaries around. For anyone who has done time, this film can relate. It definitely speaks on redemption for past misgivings and the morality of doing good for the betterment of your community. Second chances are real as long as you make it an effort to get there. I’m glad to have watched this documentary and learned little something about the man the legend of machete.

Never met Danny but would rather meet HIM than MANY other famous people . Broke my heart when I learned my 90 yr old mother had her name changed because she is ashsamed of her latino blood . Small it may be yet still Latino . So no longer does she want to be called Juanita . SAD to me cause my bible thumping Anglo Saxon Dad I know pushed her to it . It floord me to see the resmblence or Danny's mother and my own mother when they were both young . WOW. Danny embodies MANY things I have endured myself and by the grace of God I'm still clean ...Athough I do enjoy a beer here and there . lol Danny is the best Role model Material . I used to have young ppl come to me for advise and it blew me away anyone wanted my advise about anything . LOng Live Danny Trejo and his family .

...that someone who has very little and has hit rock bottom CAN make something of themselves... without the support of the Government? Are you sure? I mean, that's not what the narrative in 2020 is, that's for sure. Good for Danny Trejo. He figured out the path to a successful life - do good things. Imagine that.

Breathtaking. A perfect example of what you can do if you choose to do it. Now, we may not all become movie stars, but we can turn our lives around when we decide to do so from within, and his mesaage of helping others is beyond inspiring. Given today's climate, and the divisiveness that comes with it, every American should watch this film, it truly inspires you to want to do better by others...

Captivating from beginning to end. Danny is a true warrior who has been to hell and back. He has over come all odds and has become an amazing role model, father, brother, uncle and friends to many. One of the few recent movies where I left my phone down the entire time. This documentary was intense, emotional and very inspirational. A must watch.... thank you Danny for all that you do to help others of all ages in all areas of life. You are truly amazing.

5 STARS!! A documentary about a man who went from the pits of hell to the Hollywood heavens by being selfless, caring, and appreciative of those around him. This movie is guaranteed to make you join in Trejo's contagious laugh, fear the horrors of prison-life, and encourage you to break away from your hardships and rise up! Uncle Machete is a role model for all ages. I have seen in him action on the big screen (tearing people to shreds), on auditorium stages (informing the youth), and cruising on the streets (usually in his '65 Rivi). He's an ICONIC GEM that's hard to miss and someone you want to gravitate towards. Thank you for being true to your family, friends, and fans. KEEP KILLIN' EM DANNY. You deserve to.
