Generation Iron 2 revealed the further expansion of the bodybuilding industry, how the internet changed it, and how athletes were finding new ways to push the limit of physique perfection. Now Generation Iron 3 will attempt to finally answer the ultimate question – what is the ideal and perfect physique? Traveling across the globe including India, Brasil, Europe, Africa, Canada, and the USA – Generation Iron 3 will feature and follow bodybuilders, trainers, experts around the world to determine what the universal ideal physique should look like. With so many divisions appearing within the bodybuilding leagues – what body type should be championed as the absolute best in the world?

  • Amateur, sub titles, very little USA

VERY disapointed, after Gen 1 and 2 this is a LETDOWN on a grand scale. Some amateur bodybuilders from Eastern Block, Africa, and ME. None of which are on par with US pros. Jim Manion goes on a rant about the travel ban from Iran, as if it's something new/Obama had more countries banned than we do now. It's great that bodybuilding is popular in India, but it's OBVIOUS they are not on the same level as US pros. Watching these unknown bodybuilder guys lose is not informative or entertaining. Also, the slams on Fitness or Classic Physique are childish and not good for the sport. The subtitles are annoyuing as well as the political commentary, IF you think it's about fitness, iron, bodybuiding, BIG, PRO bodybuilders, DO NOT rent or buy this.....

From the first two this definitely takes a different approach. Most footage is of other countries and how Bodybuilding is growing and evolving. Was really hoping it covered more of Mr. Olympia and possibly Phil Heaths loss/ post interview but never touched that topic. It’s good but I wouldn’t watch again unlike the first one. Would really be sweet if this turned into a series of different following categories/competitors.

I really enjoyed this movie and look into the bodybuilding world. I especially enjoyed the seeing the passion and development of the industry in countries like Iran, Uzbekistan and Ghana, as well as the look into different divisions, such as Fitness and Physique. Very well done.

I thought this was a huge step up from the second film - taking the film internationally to a bunch of different countries was awesome. Really interesting to see the similarities and differences between the bodybuilding cultures across the world. Loved it!
