Description

From acclaimed director Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave) and co-writer Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl) comes a blistering, modern-day thriller with a powerful ensemble cast! If you’re a fan of the Taken or Fast and Furious franchises, this movie probably isn’t for you. It takes its time with the characters and building up to the action. It’s a solid heist movie with some fantastic actors and actresses.
  • Great film.

Same old garbage from liberal filmmakers who feel the need to push their propagandas instead of making entertaining movies. Then the ending makes no sense at all, I’m not going to spoil it but just like most things in this movie, it would never have unfolded that way in real life.

No wonder iTunes hides ROtten Tomatoes rating on this dog of a film. It takes all of 100 minutes to get to the ppint the trailer shows. Meaning, nothing happens in this fiml that keeps a viewer interested in watching it. Its a complete and utter FAILURE. Por Favor Apple, shame on you for not letting the public in on the scam

Widows was one of those Heist films that really was a smack in the Jaw! There was a solid cast of Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Liam Neeson, Colin Farell, Daniel Kayluua, And Robert Duvall! Elizabeth Debecki was the diamond in the rough of the cast! And there was a Concrete Narrative Structure that did reflect the recent Violence plaguing Chicago! Widows is worth the watch, but don’t Steal it!

It’s too bad many of these reviews seem to be “defensive” of their PERSONAL stance on the entertainment value of the the film and not on the ACTUAL entertainment of the movie. You will be entertained! Strong, aggressive and leading is NOT what Hollywood has given us in its’ depiction of woman, (unless it’s historically based: ie. Joan of Arc, Amelia Earhart...) until now....BRAVO! I would rather give it a 3.5 (or 7 of 10), but not an option, so I’ll error to the up side. The plot was solid. -Wives of these men would be the mix the film presented: weak/abused or strong/confident. -Given the step by step planning in the journal left “behind”, it’s feasible (though unlikely) that the wives would take to the challenge. **SPOILER ALERT** Reasons for only 4 stars (2) -If Liam’s character planned on walking away...why show up to take the money in the end? Viola’s plan was to pay the 2 mil and get out. No need for return, take your babe and go. -When Duvall interrupts event, one of the 3 would have put him down instantly. They just gave the housekeeper a pass and they looked serious. Duvall pops out “aggressively” with gun...rock and roll! People leaving only 1 star: PLEASE!?! There is enough CRAP out there with ZERO sense or direction in the film that is truly worthy of 1 star...this was not it!

Disjointed plot that takes you to so many directions, without ever arriving at any destination, leaving you weary and confused. I did not like that.
  • Waste of money
