Description

First there was an opportunity... then there was a betrayal. Twenty years have gone by. Much has changed but just as much remains the same. Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to the only place he can ever call home. They are waiting for him: Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.

Meh. The spud story was the only redeemable part.

I hate to think of it as a "sequel" because most sequels are lacking. This movie continues the magic (cast, writing, direction) of the original in a way that only confirms why Trainspotting was so original in the first place. It will hit you in the feels.

It was one of the worst movies I'd ever seen. I could'nt understand the so called English language and the content of the movie itself was bad.

Not sure who wrote the storyline but it would be hard to come up with a worse script. The movie is so cheesy and predictable. T2 is just a big budget movie trying to appeal to a mass audience and make as much money as possible. No thought, not art, no originality. If you like Trainspotting you will defintely not like the sequel.

It may lack of the special effects, and gross Scenes of the first one, but its a more mature and makes a lot of sense. 20 years later the boys did it again.
  • Just As Good As The First

Just as good as the first film, for different reasons. This is a sequel that did not need to exist, but I'm glad it does. Adds nice closure and is a film about returning home/acceptance. A very thoughtful, progressive piece that is moving and honest.

T was brilliant an T2 a close follow up. By basic logic, T2 better then most you'll see rest of year. So chose your mediocre shows and wait 2 years for Netflix to buy the rights so you can watch "it for free".
