Great cinematography and a descent score. Obviosly they were going for a Blade Runner type movie, but it falls miserably short of that. The movie is pretty bad. I tried to give it a chance, but I ended up turning it off half way through, enough said.
  • Great film but a bit confusing

I enjoyed this film its beautifully made. The dark look and the lighting effects created a great setting for the film it did make me feel like I wanted to live in that city. Brianne Davies looked and was amazing. The thing I really had trouble with was trying to understand the story. I could understand up to a point and then things got kind of confusing to me. I think my problem was trying to follow the main character and keeping track of his future self and past self and that is what threw me. The plot of the film seemed like an attempt to take this time machine. But then the story seemed to sway. I think this is a film that really needs to be looked at more than just once to really understand what was going on. But even though I didnt really understand what the was going on, I was so impressed with the visual effects that I didnt really care I just wanted to immerse myself into that world. It is as they say a film noir type movie, with many influences from other films like Blade Runner obviously and others. I think this film like Blade Runner needs to be seen a few times to really understand that is why I bought it. For many though it will be a boring film because it requires thought. Id probably give this a rent first then if you like buy it. Enjoy it turn off the lights and really open your mind, like I said dont expect lots of action and guns, this film requires brains.
  • Makes you think, but filmed mostly in the dark...

Good movie because it makes you think about parallel dimensions etc (Stephen Hawking?), but the film is so DARK, my eyes were hoping for some daylight shots desperately. I wished I could've turned up the backlight on my tv or something. Overall it was good and smart. Be ready to make out the characters in the darkness of night, dark apartments, dark labs...etc
  • Wait for Netflix- not worth the rental

This movie had potential- but the bad writing and horrible soundtrack sank it.
  • NOT Blade Runner

While the movie was generally intersting, I have to take issue with those whom compare it to Blade Runner. Just because it copies the cinemetography, the music, and some of the language, it is NOT nearly the quality of writing or special effects, or acting, as Blade Runner. The movie is weak in its dialog and in its acting, the plot is rehashed old dribble from older SciFi dramas (Twilight Zone and Outer Limits) but not as well done. All in all, it was okay - a good nap movie, but not worth the rental price.

Waste of time. The story is half baked, the noir style is good, the end is crap. Wait for cable - Don’t waste a dime on it!
  • eye candy + time travel

I spent the majority of the time watching this movie trying to keep the timelines straight in my head while simultaneously drooling over the eye candy. To me this movie is more about what is sparked in your imagination while watching than anything else. For some this movie will be extremely thought provoking and to me that is the most true form of art. For others the spark is not there and they will completely miss the entire point. If you like the movies Primer & Bladerunner this may be worth a watch for you.

I passed out from boredom watching this movie. Also the pseudo science used in this movie is just not well thought out to make it compelling or believable.
