My children always have loved the magic school bus, that is why I decided to purchase it for my grandchildren. But from the very first time we watched, it is extremely pixelated to the point of being almost u watchable ! Foggy, grainy and just horrible ! I know that these are older shows but come on….. these are so pixelated that nothing is clear and like watching through the fog. Do not buy these ! Not worth it !

I was 4 years old back in 1994, when this show premiered on Sept 10th. I’m now 30 years old, and 26 plus years later, this still one of many 1990s timeless classic children’s tv shows still makes me smile. I can remember watching the original series on VHS tapes, when they were still around, and following Ms. Frizzle and all of the kids on their magical classic adventures. Even though only Lily Tomlin, is the only one to return from time to time for the “new reboot”, it wouldn’t be the same without her. I imagine the original voice actors/actresses for all of Ms. Frizzle’s students were too old to return to reprise their former roles, so they got the new voice actors to replace them. It’s sad that Phoebe is gone, I miss her. I just watched the first episode of the new series, and it was ok in my mind, It’s probably not as good as the original, but only time will tell. Can’t imagine if anything changed, some re-creations of classic movies or tv shows just can’t match the things that made their originals great. When I re-watch the “Out in Space” episode, I worry about the kids who are growing up and learning about the planets now, will become confused about “Pluto” being a planet, as it still was back then, and not like what it is today. I don’t think “Pluto” should have been taken off as a planet, after being that way for so many years, then taken away. It’s great that the creators of this new series kept the original theme song and characters that I love. Five stars to the original TV series, all the way!!!!

I love this show! Although, the animation looks like it was kind of rushed. It’s a great show and all, but I like the magic school bus rides again better because it’s animation is better and the science in it has improved.

I NOW HAVE an iphone that has all the magic school bus episodes installed on it. I recorded a few episodes from tv to vcr when my youngest was a toddler *born in 95. Now I'm enjoying revisiting the magic with my middle daughter's children. There's been a lot of awesome family bonding/banter, that comes out over our 3 generations gatherings... The elder Grands* love it, the Parents love it still, and so do the young grands. It's fun, and it adds to the fun of play dates with the grands. I'm a real person, I'm not getting paid, nor have I recieved any credits or products from this review. JBS West Virginia to me, it's a tool in a fun start in education, without the little one's knowing they're learning
  • Good story, horrid animation.

The Magic School Bus is such a great show for learning lots of stuff, and the characters are will fitting, too. Mrs. Frizzle is such a likable and humorous character. The one thing I don’t like about this show is the animation. The animation looked like it was rushed while making the show. Not bad, not bad at all!

I could not be happier with my purchase. And yes, I AM a real customer. A customer with an iTunes account, and free time. I am a devoted Magic School Bus fangirl, and I bought my favorite episode so I can watch it whenever I want. I am so happy. Thank you, iTunes, for giving me access to one of the greatest TV shows ever made. The Magic School Bus is LIFE.
