Description

Voiced by Mel Blanc, the world’s most famous rabbit (created by Chuck Jones and Tex Avery) is back in this classic collection of 20 unforgettable animated shorts. Dating from an early appearance in 1940 – his first meeting with Elmer Fudd in “Elmer’s Candid Camera” all the way through 1954, this Looney Tunes anthology features many firsts – such as the first appearance of the Tasmanian Devil in “Devil May Hare” and Bugs’s first close encounter with a nameless Martian (later named Marvin) and his pet dog K-9 in “Haredevil Hare.” And Bugs’s sparring with Yosemite Sam runs throughout this collection – as they meet during the Gold Rush (“14 Carrot Rabbit”), in a prison (“Big House Bunny”), and on the high-seas as pirates (“Buccaneer Bunny”). But that’s not all folks… there are some thugs after Bugs for a good-luck charm; and Bugs becomes both the Masked Marauder Carrot Thief and a rabbit sandwich! What’s up, Doc? Your spirits, with this must-have collection!

You know, I was in Wally World the other day and saw three or four seasons of Looney Tunes there for at least half of the price of the entire season here on iTunes. I think everyone is right, it's just way too expensive for my pocket. Sorry Bugs and friends, I'm taking my business elsewhere.
  • Hooray, no more two per title!

Boy, that two-for-$1.99-without-any-chapter-markers-whatsoever deal was not my favorite. This 1-cartoon-for-99-cents deal is way better, especially since we only get 1 cartoon instead of two. I would like to be able to pick up certain cartoons from the prior Looney Tunes sets on iTunes (mainly Operation Rabbit) for the 1-cartoon price of 99 cents.
  • Umm...do the math.

Volume 3=20 single cartoon episodes for 17.98. Volume 1=10 double episodes for 19.98. iTunes is NOT ripping you off.

    ...It was 1.99, now it's .99!
  • Well, what do you want?

Personally, even though I think the price IS a little too much for one seven-minute episode, I do like that I can now purchase one short instead of two put together. I wouldn't want to have to pay for one I don't want (even though I have yet to see a Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoon I didn't like). $0.99 for each individual short should do the trick. (Plus, on a side note, TWO shorts for $1.99 is a better deal than this one, so what's there to complain about?)
  • why so expensive??

… love, love, LOVE, Bugs Bunny. However, I removed one star not because it is not deserving of 5 stars, but because 1.99 for one 6 to 8 minute cartoon is just not worth it. Having said that. To the people who blame Apple for the pricing of these animations. I think you need a little reality check. Apple is not really the ones who are dictating the price. It is Warner Brothers that owns these old Looney Tunes animations and it is them that decides what they want sell it at the iTunes store. Although, Apple may have their formula and guidelines for pricing. Ultimately, it is up to Warner Brothers to figure out how to distribute the material at a fair price. What Warner Bros should've done is to find a way to tie together 5 episodes and then charge 1.99 through the iTunes store. That way you're getting roughly 45 minutes worth of material for each purchase. So, people, stop blaming Apple for things they don't have much control over.
  • What a Rip-Off!!!!!

i was gonna buy this, then i noticed it had 7min episodes for $1.99...EACH! How dare you iTunes to charge that ridiculous price for old, classic cartoons that most of us grew up with!!! Then you wonder why people illegally download movies, music .etc! Give us back the $1.99 double episodes!
