Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, The Complete Series

I couldn't stop watching it when I started and loved until the end. The only flaw to me was the way the series ended. Still 5 stars though!

This is a great anime. It has a very dark and serious tone to it. The two main characters are very deep and the anime really dives into the mental states of the two main characters. You see how the main characters must deal with the harsh reality that being an assassin brings and how to cope with it while trying to find their own personal identity.

These 2 animes are different and DTB is more complex, but I liked Darker Than Black more. Phantom makes you want to watch it until you finish the whole thing in one sitting, and Darker Than Black will make you want to re-watch it over and over. If you want another very dark and harshly sad and touching story, look up Elfen Lied.

Requiem... What a suitable name lol, this series made me cry. I certainly suggest you buy this, but remember, you can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness.

Moving, surprising, brutally violent, with characters that really stick with you. This is a tremendous series with a lot of heart. I just finished it and am considering starting again from episode 1. I watch a lot of anime - this one is in my top 5.

I was hooked on the First episode haha... I am now looking for the opening theme for it. Unfortunately iTunes doesn't care about who actually sings the song.... so I'm still searching... for this and the Dragonaut: The Resonance theme...if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated...

This is by far one of the better animes that I have seen in recent time. It has a realistic setting and a plot that envelops you. Like most Japanese animes, it has a very mature theme. The story of two invidivuals finding each other and saving each other on every level is heart warming and poignant. Be prepared to shed tears as sadness overshadows happiness at times. As a small hint, remember the meaning of Requiem.

I have not found a deep well thought out plot for an anime with an overly serious attitude in a very long time. The twists and turns this plot takes as the story progresses will keep you guessing as to who is alive or dead; who is a friend or foe, and so forth. I know the preview clip of the first episode doesn't do much to drive home the plot line, but give this one a chance if you want something dark and serious to watch to drown out the multitudes of anime out there with a sugar coated comedy undertones.

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this wonderfully intriguing anime whilst trying to figure out a new anime to watch, I honestly picked this one based entirely on the cover picture but OMG MY BF AND I ARE HAPPY I DID BECAUSE THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST ANIMES EVER!!! Trust me everyone this show is worth buying, very rarely does an anime touch me so much that I cry but not that this anime is only drama, it's action/adventure is displayed well with certain twists and turns that will have to rooting for certain characters, maybe even being torn between two or more! Either way, seriously this is an anime worth spending the money on, so definitely buy it
