Description

The thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester Brothers continues with the sixth season. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) spent their lives on the road, battling every kind of supernatural threat. And over the years, after dozens of bloody adventures, they finally closed in on their dark destiny. Sam and Dean learned they were to be important and prophesied participants in the Apocalypse. Together with the help of their friends — father-figure Bobby and fallen Angel Castiel — they managed to avert the End and defeat Destiny itself. But at a terrible cost. For Sam sacrificed himself . . . he was imprisoned in the same fiery pit that caged Lucifer. And Dean, heartbroken and alone, was forced to pick up the pieces of his life. A year later, his past inevitably catches up to him — in the form of Sam. Mysteriously freed from his cage in hell. And Sam needs his brother to rejoin the fight because a new threat is rising in the dark corners and backwoods of America.

Now to this Season’s benefit after rewatching it I enjoyed it much more than the first go around, and much of the dislike I have for it comes from it coming off the heals of a phenomenal season. The problem the show struggled for a long time to find “what’s next?” and that struggle began here. I really enjoyed Sam in this season and felt that was what grounded it for me, but found I really had little investment in much else. The war in Heaven gave me little concern, and I really didn’t care about the monsters or finding purgatory or anything. It was a step down from the biblical story of Season 5, but more importantly for me signaled signs of further faltering to come.

Every single season of this show is amazing. Excellent acting, storyline, and characters really adds up in this season. At the end of episode 14, I was almost crying! I could feel all of Dean's sadness, and guilt, and it is one of the most depressing and well made episode that I've seen so far. I haven't watched seasons 7 and 8 yet, but so far, that episode made me really connect with the characters. So, it's the best in that perspective, but not the best in the others. I became really glad when Castiel became a regular in the show, because to be quite honest, each time I see him, then I can't help but smile, because he reall adds a lot of humor to the whole horror and drama thing that's going on throughout every single season. Angles are not what I excepted, but that's really good, and to be honest, angles are kind of dumb and unsocial to the point of laughter. The episodes that don't have Castiel in it (season 1 especially) has always been kind of gloomy, but Castiel kind of fluffens it up, if you know what I mean. I really like the fact that most of the episodes, not only is about stopping the evil villain, but also about how having such a job can change a person, and what can happen because of that change. It's kind of interesting. wv28m took the words out of my mouth!

Together they make the show worth watching. I love this show better then eny other show on tv. Oh!and please alway's keep each episodes really creepy and scary some episodes really upset me because they where very silly and not scary at all.

OK, I have to confess I enjoyed this season and watched the entire show over 1 week. I don't know why many folk thought it was lacking as it displayed all the trademarks of earlier seasons. I didn't give it 5 stars because I'm a little tired of Dean's character: over all this time even the Celestial bodies have learnt something about "Life & The Meaning of Everything", all except Dean who is just as stupid and arrogant as he was from the beginning. His character needs to grow and mature like everybody else. Now I'd better get on with Season 7 since Fringe Season 4 is now on hold for a while.
