I only give this a low rating b/c I purchased it thinking it was an episode of Archer (the cartoon). It was under the same catogory so I did a mass purchasing of every episode and this one came up too. (*plus it didn't show me a preview) I only watch 2 mins of it - maybe a good quality production - but not my type of show - it's a Gun / Shooting reality TV show.

Finally!! Something worth watching! Great game show set-up and execution. Definitely the format is like "Survivor" but it's still entertaining. Only set back is the unnecessary tv drama that is brought to life by the show producers. Oh, for those who's blasting off against "survival show" comparisons and remarks, and does not actually see the crystal clear similarities, IS in fact the complete 'BLIND IDIOTS'.
  • Good show...has some potential

First off...those that keep comparing this show with Survivor are complete idiots. Yes this show involved shooting and there were eliminations from time to time. However, even though I have a certain interest with weapons, I found it interesting with the factoids regarding each weapon. Some I've only been able to recall by name and some that I've never even heard of, but all in all it was very entertaining. It may have a Survivor feel to some people but seriously...Survivor is getting a bit...old to me.

Ehhh, its OK. Some pretty neat set-ups, but I could do without all the crappy drama. I would also expect a higher level of professionalism in the hosting of the show. The survivor doood sounds like a side show barker. Fill time with more details about the guns used instead of all the emotional sideshows. I never even noticed a safety briefing. Even though every one on the show is supposed to be among the best, no matter who you are, there is no substitute for a good safety briefing. I will admit that most shooters showed excellent sense in clearing their guns after using them, but many times they weren't. You never leave an unattended gun, loaded! Gun owners around the world would also appreciate it if you didn't call these tools, "WEAPONS", as anything on the planet can be described as a weapon, including but not limited too; baseball bats, kitchen knives, fists, cars, rocks, etc. It would also be appreciated if the word "ASSAULT" anything were to be removed from your vocabulary. The word assault is a descriptive term, used to show an action. A gun, by itself is incapable of performing such an act! Best of luck in the next attempt.

History Channel's producers have brought together a remarkable group of proficient shooters with diverse backgrounds and experiences, then challenged them with an imaginative variety of competitions that both play to their strengths and press them to quickly develop new ones. First-class instructors are brought in to properly introduce the competitors to new weapons and techniques, and it's fascinating to see how some not only learn the procedures but also figure out the related strategies and tactics. And through it all, we see not only the enjoyment of the sport but its safe and professional practice as well. I personally think the show's method of selection of competitors for the elimination round is not only "cold" but (unlike the rest of the program) also in conflict with a modern sport shooter's ethics. That said, I do like the different nature of those secondary matches, as well as the situations that develop from them. Thanks to HC for producing an entertaining and interesting show. (As for me, I'm buying the season ) So how about more like this?

I usually would never watch anything on the History Channel (Boring...), and I'd never given shoting targets and stuff a second thought. but I stumbled upon this by accident. At first, it was boring because it was obvious who was going home and stuff. The poor red team is so small now... oh well. I think that Kelly and JJ will go up against each other in the end, and Go Kelly! It would be funny to see a college kid kick a bunch of 40 year old guys' butts. However, Colby is kind of a boring host. Oh, well. He's better than that girl who hosted the 1st season of Top Chef by a LOT.
