I was so sad to see the series end...I love this show. The series finale was great...brought me to tears...and the song Wherever you will go by the Calling, gets me everytime.
  • This show has always been rather pathetic

I've tried to get into it various times & each time have finished an episode frustrated by no true reason to care, passable acting even by the great Oscar-Winner Holly Hunter. BTW, my favorite shows are 24, NCIS, Lie to Me, Flash Forward, The Office, Mad Men, Rubicon, X-Files, Star Trek: TNG and Law & Order. This show does nothing new for the Crime Drama genre. You're best sticking with TNT's superior The Closer & Memphis Beat. Those Southern justice shows at least have unpredictable twists, ingenious acting & something addicting that keeps you tuning in each week. 4/10 Stars. I hope Holly can actually get a hit feature film or supporting role in cinema as opposed to this garbage
  • What an amazing show...sad to see it end.

I was more than shocked when I heard TNT was dropping SG. Really? Tragic really, since this is one hell of a gritty, down to earth show with some SUPERB acting. Holly Hunter is the star, but the entire cast give some pretty awesome emmy worthy perfomances. 9 episodes....sigh...not even a full seasons worth. So few shows grabbed me, the OKC setting is perfect and allows for some pretty tremendous depth that you might not find if it were set in a more traditional tv setting such as NY or LA. Wish it weren't gone, but I'll relish the 9 remaining episodes.

I was so upset to hear that Saving Grace was cancelled. The acting was real life complicated every day situations. The character made you feel like you knew them. The way they ended the show made me upset for days after... The song, "Wherever you will go" by the Calling brought tears to my eyes... It was the perfect song for Grace to say goodbye... Bravo to the writers, actors and who ever picked the song by The Calling for giving such thought to this ending!
  • This shouldn't be the end!!!

What is with the producers anyway??? Everytime there is a great show to watch they end it! I said the same thing when ABC family took Wildfire off the air! Wake up TV people...put the good stuff back and keep the junk you are putting out! Anyway Grace should have been saved by her angel and we should have season 5,6,7 etc. Thanks for what you did do....
  • So many different levels of depth

That was one of the best shows EVER. I don't see how anyone can not find meaning in this show. It speaks to so many issues and ideas; any one of which could be explored as a theme running through each episode. A couple simple and obvious ones are alcoholism, the double standards that exist for promiscuity of men & women, etc. But the main theme is spirituality, without the constrains of religion. The idea that "god" loves us unconditionally, that god gives us free will, that angels are far from perfect, that evil takes the form of our own weaknesses if we allow that, etc. I could go on and on. There is no way that a show with that much "humanism" (ie cussing, creative love-making, drinking) could exist during prime time hours on one of the mainstream networks. Although I was shocked when Cooley was executed (I just knew he would be saved) and devastated when grace died and the series ended, it's a testament to the quality of the show, that nothing can really be made to "look" nice if it isn't. Great show!!! One of the few that I can watch episodes over and over.

The final song is "Wherever You Will Go" by The Calling. That just about drove me crazy but after watching the final multiple times, I figured it out. So long Grace what a wonderful ride.

I just finished watching the series! a very sad ending to the best TV show out there! Is it just me or did it leave it off with creating just a splinter of hope that there could be more to come?
