In response to "medic" most of the people you are referring to stayed behind because they were either poor, elderly, or infirmed and had no choice. Our govenment left them there to die. I thought the documentary was very well done and showed what is exactly wrong with this country. I love this country, but this was not our shining moment at all....

This is what documentaries are about. Getting to the heart of an issue and showing the people- not faking it! Spike Lee did an amazing job on this documentary and informing the masses. This is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen, if not the best!

Spike Lee does a very good job of trying to fully explain everything that went on during the catastrophe in New Orleans, this is probably the most significant film I've seen in a very long time.

How can you suggest that Spike Lee should leave politics out of his films? That makes no sense. It's what he does! And, we're all more educated because of it!!! Furthermore, what's the first thing you did in your response of only a few sentences...you voiced your political opinion immediately! That's what people do when they have an audience.

Back when Katrina hit it was very hard to know what was going on with all of the finger pointing and such, but this series really breaks it down and tells you the story from beginning to end. Very well done!

I dont even have to watch this to know exactly what it is. The same thing that most "Katrina Victims" say. It was everyone else's fault. The fact of the matter is that if the people of N.O. LA acted like intelligent human beings hardly anyone would have died. Yes, Nagim(Chocolate City Ray) and Governor Blanco (can't say what she is on here) are wrong for some of it but if a storm the size of the Gulf of Mexico is bearing down on you would it not be a good idea to leave. That is all you need to know. Now don't waste your money on "a Spike Lee joint".

When I saw this on HBO is could not turn a way. Spike can tell a story. He can really tell an important story of failure. The stories of the people and the images has stayed with me. When people put too much faith in government officials watch out. Petty politics between the Mayor of New Orleans and the Gov. of Louisiana; the lame actions by "Brownie" and President George Bush will make you really think...how could this happen? This is an unfortunate lesson that the world must learn from and never duplicate.
