I dunno what it is about this show that makes me want to watch more and more of it. These women really have issues and the men they are getting married to must be saints to put up with their bs. I want to make my boyfriend watch this show and say, "SEE!! You've got it good! And I only get moody around my time of the month, these women are like that 24/7!" I just wish they had other seasons on itunes!
  • Is not so much "Docu" as "Fiction"

If anyone remembers the first incarnation of "Bridezillas" (a British docu-series that originally aired on FOX), be sure not to mistake that version for the thing WEtv airs. The original "Bridezillas" followed brides around New York City and was a real documentary about the ups and down of planning a wedding in the city and the stress surrounding it. This WEtv show also follows brides but is obviously faked to ensure more "outrageous" antics. Critics, occasional watchers and even the fans on WEtv's message boards know that the show is faked (several people featured in episodes - owners of restaurants where "scenes" take place, other patrons at establishments, etc... - have come forward telling of many re-takes and set-ups of certain supposedly real-time and real-life fights and other predicaments). But, I suppose if one takes the show for what its worth as a fictional dramedy, it is watchable. Just don't expect anything real.
  • Most of these brides have to be pretending...

I've been a long time watcher of the show and at first it was just showing how stressed an controlling a bride can be about the day (think Julie Roberts' "Blush and Bashful" speech a la Steel Magnolias). The brides on this season must have watched the first few seasons and said "Hey, I can be much more crazy planning my wedding!" And that's how you get the Lisas and Katrinas...obviously not that ridiculous on a regular basis. Too bad that Wetv decided to go this route...maybe one day they will go back to the original formula. I watched this season, but it's not as good as the first four.

  • Who needs the other seasons?

It's pretty obvious that every show is a different couple and a different wedding! So, you don't need to see every other season before this one unless your obsessed with the show.

Heres what each of these brides say before signing up for this: "Hey, i'm a generally mean and unreasonable person! I'm going to decide right now to sign up for bridezilla and act totally bogus and ruin my wedding day!! =D". I mean, seriously who does that? Only those wives who have issues. I watched it, and as unreasonable as it is, it is humoring to watch the wives throw away an important doy in their life. Its is very bad and annoying. I couldnt watch a second showing.

You dont need to watch the other seasons to know whats going on. The only thing you have to know is that the brides have issues. Thats it. Nothing is the same from episode to episode so you can watch one without any of the others. I like this show because I think its funny. However I have only seen one episode so who really knows?
  • how can one start by only posting Season 5?
