Young Justice: Phantoms, Season 4

I’ve already seen plenty of clips on YouTube to see what load of woke tripe it is! This groom-fest doesn’t even deserve one star!

The good points this show had were ruined by a forced narrative of inclusion. Extremely poor decisions in how/why characters discussed the importance their religion and what pronouns to use. I appreciate character development but these scenes were super cringe.

The season is great! Full of action! There are six different arcs, each focusing on a different main character.

The first two seasons of Young Justice were some of the best examples of an animated series ever. And while Season 3 was a dramatic drop in quality, it’s failures pale in comparison to the absolute train wreck that was season 4 (Phantoms). Even if you ignore the painfully slow pacing and woke storylines that were constantly thrown in your face, the completely uninteresting overall story arc makes finishing the entire season feel like a cruel form of punishment. Everything that happened within season 4 would have taken place within 2 episodes of season 1. Unfortunately for everyone watching, this season the creators chose instead to drag the story out for 26 episodes. Sadly, a show once known for exciting stories and non-stop action, has become a show full of endless conversations about nothing and lazy animation. Do yourself a favor and skip this season. It’s makes the final season of Game of Thrones look like a masterpiece.
