This is an outstanding series that has modern spy intrigue and current geo-political relevance. I'm glad I discovered this in May 17 and could binge watch it on my overseas flights. Watching week by week would have been painful- it's that gripping and has you waiting for the next episode. Bravo!! I can't wait for season 2!!!!

I've read Steinhauer's excellent books so this series is unsurprisingly great. Complex plot, fleshed out characters (well, as much as they can be in an espionage story), realistic dialogue... My only complaint is the last minute of the last episode ("We are all Thomas Shaw") which seemed to me to be sermonizing about current events. However, one minute from a ten-part series hardly detracts from the overall show.

One of the best spy shows out right now. Very current & great commentary of our time. Excellent cast & writing. Love the in-depth characters. Just superb. Buy it now. You will not be disappointed! Hope there's season 2.

This takes a little concentration during the first few episodes, but really begins to soar around episodes 4 & 5, with episode 6 being incredibly intense. Although Armitage is the named “star” of this series about the CIAs Berlin Station & it’s problem with a whistleblower named Shaw, he is totally upstaged by Rhys Irfan and his partner in crime Sabin Tambrea who are just magnificent! I loved this series and have watched it more than once. One of the best spy stories I’ve seen in a long time.

Brilliant! Worth every cent, the cast is excellent and they bring a depth to their characters not normally seen. The story line is plausible and the series shows the murky waters that intelligence officers live in and how they cannot trust anyone. The mix of German, UK and American actors works extremely well. Looking forward to series 2.

Action-packed spy thriller in, currently, the coolest City on the planet, Berlin. Superb actors, sophisticated, intelligent drama. Don't miss this! This may be Richard Jenkins at his best, not to mention Rhys Ifans. Oh, and you've gotta love those Germans. They are not amused.
