Description

MODERN FAMILY takes an honest and hilarious look at the composition and complexity of modern family life. Take for example Phil and Claire, two parents who want to have that open, healthy, honest relationship with their kids. It’s not always easy, especially when you have a teenage daughter who’s growing up too fast, a too-smart-for-her-own-good middle daughter and a rambunctious boy. Then there’s Jay who is having a bit of a mid-life crisis. Jay has found a much younger wife Gloria, who has become the center of his world. She’s a passionate and sassy divorcee who comes with a hopelessly romantic son named Manny. Mitchell and his partner Cameron have taken the next step by adopting a child together named Lily. Cameron has a big personality and a flare for the dramatic, whereas Mitchell is the more serious of the two but they balance each other out. Life it seems is neither tidy, politically correct or in any way predictable. Yet it’s just such surprises that make things so interesting in this warm, sometimes twisted embrace of the modern family.

Has gone from a very clever, funny comedy to a pretty standard one. Phil used to be hilarious but now he comes across as basically an idiot. The kids are just a bore especially Lilly and Luke, whose acting hasn't improved as they've grown up! Thank god for Gloria and Clare, cause even if the story is crap they're still worth watching but not for their comedy.. The show will need a complete rework if I'm to buy another season pass..

I prefer to add subtitles on the movies to understand better such as Arabic and other language
  • Still funny

It's still a great serious, the last one wasn't very good, but this one has gotten a lot better. BTW @EFM5WH: you have misunderstood the joke, Phil says son of Jor-El, who is a character for Superman
  • A Must Have

Used to be a great show. But 8 seasons in they seem to have a hard time coming up with new material. Same old jokes, and now that the "kids" are all grown up, some of the jokes are just lame. Compared to earlier seasons, this is a dud. Modern Family should have just quit in Season 6.

So knee slapping funny, still, and into 8th season; the writing and comedic timing is so spot on, family stories interwoven, and still relevant; still represents a modern family! #lifelongfan
