....in this movie. And so is Annette Bening. Funny, heartwarming, smart, beautiful lines. Wonderfully capturing, entertaining, charming movie . Great stuff!

My biggest concern when writing this review? Whether I should use one M or two in the word "sammich". We know how that internal debate ended: I used two M's. The movie is as bad as you'd expect. Rather than post a cowardly (anonymous) personal attack on the actors and actresses, I will say that this film was completely beneath the acting talents of Bobby Cannavale. Please don't waste your time, energy or hard-earned cash on this film.

So disappointing... I have to agree with some of the other comments. Actually insulting to John Lennon. Al Pacino sing ? It was actually embarrassing to watch which made the movie just not credible.

Pacino has been in so many dogs lately that this picture was unexpected by me. Its very good and typically well acted from a terrific cast.

A way to use John Lennon to get people to say a lousy movie that has nothing to do with Lennon or the real guy who got the real letter!
  • great cast...

… and very good writing. It’s fun to go along with Al Pacino playing some sort of Neil Diamond. Annette Bening is awesome as usual, Christopher Plummer nails it, Bobby Canavale does his usual thing and Jen Garner plays a typical NJ housewife. That last one, Jen Garner as typical housewife is never believable. Why does she get that role over and over?

This film was most enjoyable. It included talented actors that flooded the screen. The music was a walk down memory lane with a superstar I miss dearly, John Lennon. I was upset to find out there wasn't a soundtrack to this film on iTunes. I was even surprised that Al Pacino sang in this movie. I have to say I wasn't terribly disappointment in his vocals, but surprisingly interested that he went out on a limb to sing since he isn't a singer. It's never too late to stretch to new heights in your career. I always loved Al Pacino and will always love Al Pacino! Be sure to catch this movie, especially if you're a Pacino fan, you won't regret it.

I thought the story was very good…a lot of Beatle’s music…Al Pacino did a great job acting as well as Annette Bening...
