This is a horrible true story but they could have mixed art and atmosphere in. This just makes you feel bad with a bad aftertaste.
  • Nothing wrong with this movie but be prepared to get super frustrated with the victims!!!

There were signs of a bear around everywhere, so how could these dumb idiots not be on guard and fully prepared for a bear attack?? I mean, rather than spraying it as it got close, they hid, and Then they let it bite them not once but twice before spraying it. And then when it came back not Once did they spray it! And then rather than running or quickly grabbing essentials while the bear at her bf, she stands there and does Nothing! Stupid people man!!!! Other than getting super frustrated with their utter stupidity, there’s nothing wrong with this movie.
  • Ok to watch at 33,000 ft in a steel tube but no place else

Started out OK as you could see where it was going. Ended being lost in its own pretentiousness. Classified as a horror flick? No way. If you want a good survival flick then The Edge about a bear stalking people is much better. In this one I got sick of slow moving shots of the Missy gal as she stared around her. Music was dumb also. Oh Flight Attendant - could I have another drink please....
  • Actually not bad!

If you are easily triggered like I am by gore, DO NOT watch this film. I nearly had a heart attack during the scene where the bear MAULS the boyfriend. You are going to need a Xanax (or 2) and a mask so you don’t have to see the terrifying parts. This film is terrifyingly real looking and I had to double check to see if it was in fact actually fake. I am not being dramatic, I almost vomited from watching this movie.

Yeah the movie is a bit slow, I watched it on Netflix during one of those nights when you just can't sleep so I don't regret but I certainly wouldn't pay just to watch this movie.
  • I think the "true story" is a marketing hook

Wow, they really did a number on this guy, he's the epitome of a millennial metrosexual, though claims not to be... he loses two male/male posturing enounters off the bat, one to an older man (Ranger) and the 2nd to an Irish guy. OK, so maybe he exagerated his experience & gets them lost-happens, but he fabricated ALL his experience? If he'd been a Boy-Scout he would have a compass & pocket-knife, he has neither, he has nothing. No .44 Magnum (I always do), no food, trusty Ka-Bar knife, rope, GPS unit & compass as backup, entrenching tool... I could go on. This guy has NOTHING, but your average modest outdoorsman has a well made pocket knife at all times in the city. Yes I meet idiot tourists (especially Europeans) who are shocked I have a large bore revolver and a .308 rifle in a National Park (it's legal for defense not hunting), well, this is pretty usual if you know the wilderness and are experienced in survival & hunting. This guy claims he is! To protect your girlfriend I would expect a .357 mag snubnose minimun AND A LARGE KNIFE! You could seriously go on and on with this. He raises their food (candy & bars) off the ground to stop bears wandering in-yet is convinced bears don't exist :/ no one's this stupid, surely! And I haven't mentioned how she becomes an expert in a couple of hours. Lame!
  • Slow and Stupid Acting. (Spoiler)

    A. If you're camping and have bear spray and a bear is nearby that you actually see, get it out and have it ready. B. When making a movie have some sort of decent acting. This movie seems like it's very weak and amateurish with the acting. It will make you so angry that you wish the main characters were both eaten so it would be over.
  • Horrible

This was one of the worst movies I have ever watched. For being “Horror” it wasn’t scary at all, nor was it tense. Complete waste of time.
