Description

Mitch, a bawdy former surgeon, convinces mild‐mannered Colin, his ex‐brother‐in‐law, to embark on an unplanned trip to Iceland with him. In an effort to get their grooves back, the odd couple set off on a road trip that takes them through trendy Reykjavík to the rugged outback. Mitch and Colin’s picaresque adventures through Iceland evolve into a candid exploration of aging, loneliness and friendship.

  • Great road movie, touching

Funny, thoughtful, certainly worth my time. Even if you're young, you can relate to these two characters. Definitely a film for laughter and entertainment.
  • Better than watching a reality TV show

Similar but better. Iceland’s rugged landscapes may be the main star, or at least main costar.
  • Total Failure

A few minutes in you realize that it is done in the The Trip format. A loose script that relies on the chemistry and comedic talent of the stars to work. Problem here is that it fails on all levels. It’s a long, awful, marathon of a dull journey to get through the entire thing. Go pick another film.

Convinced me to not rent any more $.99 specials. A poor copy of Grumpy Old Men style.
  • Unwatchable!

This is the FIRST review I have ever written about a movie rented on I-Tunes, but I just had to write this one. Land Ho is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I watched the first 10 minutes and absolutely nothing happened. I then fast-forwarded for a few more minutes, looking for some of the beauty of Iceland mentioned in I-Tunes' review, but found nothing. I turned it off. This movie was like watching a travelogue featuring two relatives you don't care for, meeting people you would never want to know. Unwatchable.
  • Bad Acting! Boring! Pointless

Who selected this movie as 99 cent movie of the week? Why didn't I read the reviews? Now I am questioning taking that vacation in Iceland as this movie didn't even do a good job with the scenery. There was so much fill in this movie and silly scenes that it was not worth 99 cents.
  • It's terrible!

The characters are stupid, the plot is confusing, and just a terrible movie. I would rather watch an 8 hour documentary on the growth of a tree than see this again!

This movie….is almost nauseating. The surgeon is a pervert, not believable at all as a physician. How creepy he is when he talks about women, totally misogynistic too. Nebraska is a better bet for realistic end of life “adventure”. This story is also elitist, just yuk all around. Seriously I was worried about the young girls, the surgeon would have totally creeped me out.
  • Fun, slow, not big budget

It's a fun film. Lots of dialogue. No special effects. But entertaining. Watched it as the $0.99 rental. Probably not worth full rental price.

You must be kidding for putting this on and the tomato people have to be taking bribes for their rating of this abomination. A pervert and a store dummy see Iceland and all we get is their inane one sided conversation. What a sad indictment of the US medical system that the mouth could have possibly been a surgeon. The accent and the attitude of this creep gave me an overwhelming desire to punch him in the mouth. I did not think that there could possibly be a movie worse thanTrip to Italy, but you found it. Even though I only paid 99c for this mess, I want my money back
