I enjoyed this movie mostly because it was as ell done as most today, action and characters. But most of all because it is about time that the contributions of blacks in WWII was recognized. The treatment of black soldiers as depicted is a matter of historical fact. Other WWII writers and directors have not told the story of how black soldiers were treated. Some even tried to say blacks didn’t fight or weren’t there. When ever we see a WWII movie, you rarely see blacks in lead or hero roles with a few exceptions such as “Redtail”. Looks like Spike Lee’s comments might have been heard after all. Black soldiers were at Normandy and fought all the way to Berlin. Only to be denied the Welcome of the troops down broadway and sent to NC where they were discharged without ceremony.

Weak story, terrible acting, & horrible script. You will have to work really hard to find a film as bad as The Void - void of quality & value.

Good film and acting was decent but could have been a bit more intense. Good message. Guns, chaos and mayhem...my kind of film.

I feel that this movie was very good even with the obvious low budget. I really liked the story, and the message behind the story. I will admit that this is not as good as the first “Saints and Soldiers” but still a good movie. I felt that the special effects weren’t that grand, and at times the characters seemed a bit awkward, but it was definitely worth renting!

I understand the fact that this film is historical fiction, however one of the characters is Jesse Owens, the track star of the 1936 Olympics? As far as I can learn, Owens did not serve in WWII, especially driving a truck full of soldiers and supplies. That is really pushing the envelope. Cannot understand why the writer decided to include that. The acting was less than stellar but not terrible. The original Saints and Soldiers film was much better.
