Nice to see some great acting, esp. the kids. This is like good old clive barker.Pretty creepy and i don't like most of the crap out there. The plot is also very different than the same old cabin post teen sex slasher better run type horror.
  • A great premise marred by horrendous acting

I knew nothing about this film going in, and I was pleasantly surprised at wickedly sinister this movie ended up being. The script was tight, some of the special effects were really well implement, and the overall tone of the film was really well thought-out. The one huge sore point of this film was the absolutely atrocious acting by 90% of the cast (the older brother being the only competent one). Everyone else was just plain awful. Seriously, it was like watching American Idol auditions of bad singers, except the singers in this case were attempting to act. The only downside in an otherwise well crafted film. Highly recommended, just don’t be surprised by how badly everyone “delivers” their lines. Especially the horrible, talent-less children….*Shudder*

Don't worry about the audio, nor some the acting flubs. This is totally believable, and amazeaballs! The story, and the kid... are the glue that bind.

I gave this one a shot based on the previous reviews and of course the trailer. First to say is that it's an indie film. If you are turned off by less than block buster cinematic image quality then this will turn you way off. It's rather low budget. The actors were decent, especially the actor who played the younger brother. He was quite good. The father was less than spectacular and the older brother was average. All in all is was an interesting storyline but it seemed to drag for me and felt slow. There were several times that I faded out a bit, waiting for something interesting to happen and when it did it felt less than exciting for me. It's somewhat entertaining but nothing I would leap to purchase. Renting it is not a bad idea but I wouldn't watch it again. It's also not much of a horror film. The image on the cover makes you feel it's going to be more gory and based around a killer shown throughout the film, like a traditional slasher film but it's way different from that. In fact you never really see anyone killed. You are aware it's happening but not really a part of it. I know this is the point, that you are seeing things the way the younger brother sees them but it sort of lost it's entertainment value for me. Again it's worth the rental price but do just that before buying. Enjoy!

Really good movie… Gavin Brown (the kid) is fantastic, but only him. This movie deserves better actors. However, It’s a great movie and if I were you I would watch it. The nude scene looks SO FAKE… almost unbelievable… well, it’s a 1 minute scene, so it doesn’t matter to much...

For a (small) independent film made in Indiana....it's pretty good. Very gruesome. Audio quality could be a little better but over all.....a decent Award winning Horror film. Definitely an original Idea. Can't wait to see the Sequel spin-off......"Headless".....the film within the film. Very "Robert Rodriguez" like. The film came out in 2012 and has been going around the horror film festival circuit and is just now coming out. Definitely worth a watch.
